Here is the final email I sent on our trip:
Hi little,
Today I feel a little tired, which is strange I haven't really done that much. We got up kind of late and had breakfast. Then headed over to Telsa's, I dropped the girls of and went in to Sila's school.
One of Sila's teachers had asked me to come in and speak to some of her English classes. I spent about 20 min, in a 9th grade class. Then 30 min, in a 6th grade class and final about 45 min in an 8th grade class. It was pretty fun and a nice little break away for the girls. It's amazing how you can crave a little time alone, even 20 min in the car driving.
Anyway, when I got back the girls were having a picnic in a wagon next to Telsa's house. We then drove to a manor house, Pederstrup Manor, about 20 min. away from Telsa's, had a little ice cream sat on the lawn and ate some chips and toured the house.
Then in to Naskskov for hot dogs, ø-pølse of course Carston agrees that they are the best, and he would know, and a trip to Carston’s favorite ice cream shop, a tiny little place with some good ice cream. Then back to Ida's for dinner with all the girls. Pasta and meat sauce with little hot dogs in it was a big hit and the girls got to play for a couple of hours.
The real excitement was as I was working to set up Ida's laptop from work to use the wireless (it's surprisingly hard to configure stuff when you only slightly understand the language the computer is in) Silla and Emma came running in yelling about Lizzie I couldn't quite make out what they were saying but quickly found Lizzie in Silka's room digging in her dipper. We got things cleaned up with Ida and Lars's help and then the girls and I adjourned to our room to watch Monster Inc. and get sleepy.
I just finished configuring the laptop and now I'm off to sleep we should be home in a little over 24 hours, I'm ready to be back. Being a single parent, even with a lot of help, sucks!
